Professional experience
The Malt Cross, Nottingham, Marketing Intern (July-September 2015)
A part time paid internship where I assist on the marketing of the summer programme of events. I am currently
working on desiging an A2 fold out guide and creating posters for various events.
The Creative Quarter, Nottingham, Freelance Events coordinator (May- June 2015)
I provide administrative support for the events programme and support the CQ team in developing and producing events for 16-‐30 year olds in Nottingham. I have been working on the ENTER festival which is a platform to encourage young people to make things happen in the city.
PLAY, Bohunk Institute,Nottingham, Curator & Contributor (October 2014)
I successfully applied for funding via the 02thinkbig scheme, Organised the space, liaised with artists and curated the exhibition in collaboration with another THRIVE collective member.
Nottingham Zine Festival #2, Sneinton House, Nottingham (October 2014)
As part of THRIVE collective I helped with the organisation and smooth running of the second Nottingham Zine Festival. I was involved in responding to emails, organising tables, resolving space issues and publicising the event.
Master/Apprentice Project, Tilburg, Holland (September 2014)
Myself and six other students were chosen to represent Nottingham Trent University in this project where graduating Fine art students from different art schools in Europe are matched to a renowned contemporary artists and together create an exhibition in the master artist’s city.
Summer Lodge, Nottingham Trent Fine Art Studios, Studio Assistant (June 2014)
A two week residency programme for NTU Fine Art lecturers and outside artists. I acted as a studio assistant helping with the production of new works, assisted in solving logistical issues in the space and was involved in the symposiums and discussions.
Just So Festival, Cheshire, Production & Design Team ( June 2014)
I was part of the design team and was assigned to an area of the festival site where I took designs from idea to fabrication and installed them. On the weekend of the festival I led art and craft workshops.
ARTIST ROOMS:Bruce Nauman, Harris Museum, Preston, Guided Talk (May 2014)
I was invited to lead talks and tours through this exhibition for young people in order to give an accessible insight into Nauman’s work.
Make Time, Art workshops, Various care homes, Nottingham, Workshop Leader (April 2014)
Make-time is an organisation that provides artist led workshops for individuals suffering with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. I led a workshop called ‘speed drawing’

A contemporary art show of Neon works, including Tracy Emin and Gilbert&George
Future Artists Nottingham Art workshops, Secondary schools, Nottingham (February- March 2014)
Myself and five other students went into three Nottingham Secondary schools to deliver two days of art workshops to Year Nine pupils. The workshops aimed to challenge the current curriculum in school and we wanted to open discussion on what contemporary art can be.

I organised and led Arts and Crafts workshops with four other young people at my University on Saturday mornings. The workshops were in partnership with a Nottingham charity called Spiral for children suffering from bereavement.
Culture on a shoestring online magazine, Designer & Contributor (February 2013- 2014)
A magazine showcasing the cultural events, shows and workshops taking place in the North West of England, showing that Art and culture can still be enjoyed on a budget. Working alongside a team, I illustrated and wrote articles for this magazine.
Vintage Festival part of the Preston Guild Celebrations, Preston, Festival Producer (February- September 2012) The Vintage festival curated by Wayne and Gerardine Hemmingway took place in Miller Park, Preston. It was the closing event of the Preston Guild 2012. I was involved in visualising set dress and design, organising a vintage photo shoot for the brochure and website, and I managed the workshop leaders and stallholders over the weekend of the festival.
Ignite, Blaze, The Watermark, Preston, Programme Assistant (February – September 2012)
Blaze is a cultural programme for Lancashire, part of WE PLAY, the North West cultural legacy for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. My role was to assist with Blaze events, communications and programme planning and delivery in 2012.

The work of Blaze culminated in the North-West’s first youth led art festival, which I was also a young producer for. I was involved in the programming and artist liaison teams.
Sit & Knit, Various Locations, Workshop Leader (July- September 2012)
A self initiated project where I independently led knitting workshops across the summer at various festivals including Just So festival in Macclesfield, Under the town in Blackpool and Blaze festival in Preston. I engaged with many different age groups and taught people with a range of experience how to knit.
